Synopsis: In Villefranche, a town of 30000 inhabitants, 34-year-old Jérôme Cachart must answer for the murder of his once best friend: Driss Basri. Jérôme refuses to answer questions and sinks into silence. After his factory closed, Jérôme found himself unemployed. He lost hope, his relationship fell apart, and he was gradually drawn to far-right political involvement, eventually becoming a municipal councilor for that party. Is this the cause of Driss Basri's death? Was it a racist crime? Was it an act provoked by a political disagreement? Or by romantic despair?
